At FieldCore we strive to encourage and support the popularization of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects among young people and those from diverse backgrounds. For several years we have been partnering with the CodeCraft Works, a digital education company, to organize the Virtual Coding Summer Camps for FieldCore kids and teens.

This year we were thrilled to extend this summer camp opportunity to our FieldCore kids and teens in the UK. In total, more than 100 students enrolled in the highly interactive sessions and built serious analytical and creative skills coding in block-based languages, HTML & CSS, Lua, JavaScript, applied Machine Learning, Cyber Security and more! With hands-on learning techniques to keep campers engaged, software development instructor helped our campers channel their passion into the creation of a fun portfolio of STEM accomplishment.

The feedback from participants says it all:

Carter told us, “My favorite part was scripting and showing my family what awesome things I’ve done!”

Athena said that the hardest part of the camp was “learning binary numbers”. When we asked if she had coding experience before this summer camp? She said she’s never written a single line of code. After this camp, how do you feel about learning computer programming? She said, “Actually fun, I loved it! ”

Juliana said, “THIS CAMP WAS THE BESTTTTTT!!!!!!”
