In 2017 as FieldCore was taking its first steps as a new company in the Latin America region, Adriano Silva, Renewables Service Manager, visited the GE Hydro facilities in Brazil to introduce FieldCore to his GE colleagues. Over the course of some months, Adriano held numerous conversations with our GE partners, showcasing our field service capabilities to the team. Adriano’s dedication and passion for this new service line was rewarded when GE awarded us the Sá Carvalho generator retrofit as our first opportunity at a Hydro outage.
Adriano swiftly pulled together a top-notch team of professionals, ensured they had all the training required and the most advanced tools to ensure a successful outage.
The challenges were there when pushing to recruit the best resources on the market and training them for compliance with FieldCore culture and standards, when integrating FieldCore outage processes and rigor within hydro services and finally when implementing the first hydro outage making sure everything is done with the highest standards of Safety, Quality and efficiency in this new segment.
The Sa Carvalho outage was completed in 4500 hours with no Safety or quality incidents. By successfully delivering the first major hydro outage with outstanding quality and high customer satisfaction, Adriano and his team proved once again that FieldCore was able to achieve excellence with partners and to deliver the world-class execution for its customers in the Hydro segment as well.
Though Sá Carvalho was our first hydro outage, the exceptional results the team delivered ensured that it would not be the last. Since then, we have completed several more hydro outages (a total of more than 180,000 hours) cementing our position as the trusted partner to GE Renewable Energy in delivering World-Class Execution for hydro customers.
